Frankencraften – The Butterfly Effect

I promise I won’t go all esoteric on you, but I do love that theory and it’s implications.  Not sure what it has to do with my latest post except for the butterflies and of course the “chaos”.

These beautifully crocheted butterflies were bagged and on the shelf at Goodwill.  Someone had created them to sell as magnets with pipe cleaner antennae and I was attracted to the time each piece had taken to create – I have serious crochet envy as I really haven’t progressed much beyond the chain stitch and the single stitch with increases.

I ignored the voice that told me I didn’t need any more widgets, brought them home and turned them into a mobile to give to a little girl I know who likes butterflies.

So next time you are browsing at your local thrift store make the decision to change the future of that inanimate object you spy by purchasing, relocating, repurposing or recycling it and who knows…….?
